About Tom:
Militia Mixed Martial Arts and American Jiu-Jitsu is home to World Class MMA fighter Tom Gallicchio aka Tom da Tank, aka Toothless Tom! He has a professional career spanning over twelve years in three countries, a UFC veteran, and twice featured on the Ultimate Fighter! He has won world titles in multiple organizations, including MFC, M-1 Global, USKBA, and Ring of Combat in both welterweight and lightweight classes! Tom started his career early in New Jersey as an All-District Wrestler, Combat Jiu-Jitsu veteran, and Head Grappling Coach at the Legendary Team Quest home of Dan Henderson! Come out and train with Tom, a second-degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu that combines wrestling and Catch wrestling in a martial art that will work in the ring as well as in real life. Tom is CrossFit Certified and has fought in professional K-1 Kickboxing. He is an MMA recorded holder of the second most Rear Naked Choke Holds!
About Stefanie:
Coach Stefanie Gallicchio is a professional grappler, girls wrestling coach, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt. She earned her black belt on June 20, 2026, after 12 years of dedicated training and competition.
Coach Stef began her martial arts journey in her home state of New Jersey, where she earned her blue belt in 2016. Shortly afterward, she moved across the country to continue her training at Dan Henderson’s Team Quest, pursuing her dream of competing at the highest levels of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Throughout her career, Coach Stef has competed on some of the sport’s biggest stages, earning numerous gold medals at every belt rank. While she loves to compete, she is equally passionate about helping others succeed. Known as Militia MMA’s biggest cheerleader, Coach Stef takes great pride in coaching from the corner and is deeply invested in every student’s growth, both on and off the mats.
Coach Stef leads our Women’s Jiu-Jitsu program and our Kids Jiu-Jitsu program. Her positive energy, technical knowledge, and passion for teaching create an encouraging environment where students of all ages and experience levels can thrive.

A professional MMA competitor since 2008, Alvey has also formerly competed for Bellator, King of the Cage, the MFC, and was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson. About Landon:
Militia Mixed Martial Arts and American Jiu-Jitsu is proud to have Coach Landon as a wrestling instructor. Coach Landon has outstanding credentials and knows how to win! He was a two-time State Championships while attending Heritage High School in Ringgold, Georgia! For three years, coach Landon was a starter at King University in Bristol, Tennessee. Coach Landon is a gifted instructor and helped lead Cleveland High School in Tennessee to three State Championships and developed multiple All Americans! About John:
Tennessee tough John Billingslea! Coach John is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt. Coach is a former Navy rescue swimmer who served in San Diego and Hawaii. About George:
Coach George loves strawberries and 50-degree days with sun out and the snow on the ground. As a high school freshman in North Carolina, he began wrestling and won the State title as a junior! But, the coach did not stop there. He went on to Penn State and wrestled for four years, and his team won three National Championships! Coach George is on the move again to Chattanooga to participate in a Christian Church program. Then on to UTC for another year of college wrestling. About Daniel:
Coach Daniel is a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has been training under the Militia Mixed Martial Arts & American Jiu-Jitsu flag since 2021. Dan started his Jiu-Jistu journey in 2002 under Black Belt Alberto Crane in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he earned the rank of Purple Belt. His travels led him to train in many schools around the United States. He eventually received his Brown Belt from Bendoval, a non-Gracie affiliated Alberto Crane. Coach Dan found his way to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he found his home with Coaches Tom, Stefanie, and the Militia Mixed Martial Arts family. Coach Dan is an exceptional Jiu-Jitsu coach and looks forward to sharing his skills and knowledge with all age groups.
About Alex:
Alex had a 14-year professional career fighting at the highest level. Born in England and raised there and in the US, he earned black belts in Taekwondo and Full Contact Karate before transferring his skills to kickboxing. Alex lived in Japan for 22 years, fighting there in many different organizations and styles: K-1, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Shootboxing, MMA, Pancrase, and Daido Juku. He earned pro championships in four different organizations and was invited to fight in the K-1 World Grand Prix. He also supplemented his training by attending a boxing gym for his entire career. Alex’s style combines Muay Thai, Boxing, and Karate. He places an emphasis on the basics and then steadily builds on those skills. He looks forward to establishing a kickboxing culture in Chattanooga.
About Darian:
Coach Darian has been training striking for over eight years. He has experience in Taekwondo, Boxing, and Muay Thai. He started coaching in 2022 and quickly fell in love with helping people become better martial artists. Darian competed in Kickboxing and looks forward to getting in the Octagon! About Barrett:
Coach Barrett began wrestling in middle school, and after high school, he was a four-year Division One wrestler here at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. After college, he joined the Navy as an aviation rescue swimmer for six years and was stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he discovered Jiu-Jitsu. He trained under Mark and Taylor Sausser at Gustavo Machado in Norfolk, where he earned his blue belt. After the Navy, he moved back to Chattanooga, where he found a home at Militia Mixed Martial Arts & American Jiu-Jitsu. Coach Barrett is eager to share his wrestling knowledge and provide the FUNdamentals of all styles of wrestling.
